Visit a charity furniture store to find massive pieces for pennies, that will usually gladly take your old furniture. You can find some pieces that are, not quite antique, but getting there, that will add a little extravagance to your room.

Time
If you have the permission needed to go all out on your home, you’re lucky. Ripping up carpets, wallpapering walls, everything in between: it can get a little messy.
If you’re renting it’s not likely you’ll be able to fit your whole living space into a spare room, so consider putting everything away in storage until its done.
