But sometimes, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what meaningful self-care means; our busy brains can over-complicate everything. So, we have a list of ways of how to treat yourself. 1. Buy yourself flowers
Nothing cheers up a home or office like a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, and you are worth those flowers! Not only are they beautiful, but they smell good too. There are many places to find flowers: you can grab them while you are at the grocery store if that is all that you can afford! Wash your hair, get dressed into something cute, put on a new lipstick color, and take a selfie. We know there can be some stigma or self-conscious thoughts that are engrained about eating alone, and there is nothing wrong with you if that comes up. However, the key to enjoying your date for one is to mentally commit. Do not slink around embarrassed that you are out to dinner by yourself. You are out to dinner by yourself, enjoying your own beautiful company. Going somewhere you are excited about eating will make it all the sweeter. And speaking of sweeter, treat yourself to dessert, especially if that is not something you normally do.?
3. Moisturize?
Moisturizing yourself is a form of pampering. Slowly and gently applying lotion to your whole body is a very calming and grounding experience. It takes time out of your day to give yourself some kind touches and hydrate your skin while you are at it! Buying fancy lotions does not need to break the bank, but you also want to make sure that you are only putting body-safe and nourishing ingredients on your skin. 4. Go Outside
Work that daily walk into your schedule. Making sure that you get outside and stop looking at your screen for even ten minutes a day can have a fantastic impact on your mental health. This is a small way to treat yourself consistently, every day! Breathing fresh air, seeing plants, trees, and other greenery, and just having a change of scenery can be so refreshing.
